FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral?
No. You do not need a GP or consultant referral to see one of our physiotherapists.
You can book directly with us and start treatment as soon as you’re ready.
If you have been referred by a GP, consultant, or other healthcare professional, you’re very welcome to bring that information with you.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by contacting the clinic directly.
Appointments can be arranged by telephone (01487 773088) or via the Book Online button at the top of the home page on our website.
If you’re unsure which appointment type is right for you, our reception team will be happy to help.
Do you offer same-day or urgent appointments?
Where possible, yes.
We understand that pain and injury can be urgent, and we do our best to offer same-day or next-day appointments when availability allows.
If you need to be seen urgently, please contact the clinic by phone so we can advise you as quickly as possible.
What should I expect from my first appointment?
You will be asked lots of questions about your problem, such as how it developed, how long you have had it, how severe it is, how it is affecting your life and whether you have any related medical issues. You will then be physically examined, assessed and, depending on how much time is left of that 45-minute appointment, you will receive a little treatment. You will most likely be given some exercises to support the healing process and told roughly how many appointments might be required to resolve your issue. Before leaving, you will be able to book the next few appointments in the diary.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we work with most major UK health insurance providers, such as, Aviva, AXA PPP and WPA.
If you plan to use insurance, we recommend checking your policy details in advance and bringing your authorisation number to your appointment.
If you have any questions about insurance or payment options, our team will be happy to advise.
